At Vleiland Farm in South Africa's Western Cape, Sungrow FPV system is steadily producing renewable electricity, delivering sustainable energy to support the farm's activities.

The project employs a complete Sungrow FPV's system solution, making use of the unused water surface on the farm's irrigation ponds. The layout and anchoring configuration were carefully tailored to the site's topography, ensuring the most efficient use of the available water footprint.
In this water-stressed region, Sungrow FPV's system helps conserve precious water resources by significantly reducing evaporation from the pond surface, saving about 1.5 m³ of water per square meter each year—making more water available for farming and daily use. With abundant sunshine and good airflow across the water surface under the array, the system benefits from improved cooling and ventilation, boosting electricity output. According to the client, the floating PV plant delivered a 12% efficiency gain in its inaugural year.
Pioneering professional design to connect floating PV across all water surfaces. Sungrow FPV remains committed to innovation-driven technology, continuously exploring new "PV+" application models.
